Positive Minds

At Works Better 1525, we understand that your mental wellbeing might be your roadblock in applying for a job. Our Positive Minds programme has been specially created for young people under 25.

We have some great mental wellbeing organisations locally and we are working with their youth mental wellbeing experts to ensure that you can get the help you need to maximise your potential.

The level of support you receive will depend entirely on your needs. Everyone is allocated an adviser and following an informal, friendly chat, they will create a package of support designed for you. By getting to know you, your adviser can create a support programme that is unique to your needs.

There are lots of ways that we can deliver support and we’ll use the one(s) that work best for you:

  • Telephone Support
  • Access to on-line self-help resources
  • Small groups sessions / workshops
  • Drop-in sessions
  • Peer support
  • 1:1 sessions
  • Social and recreational opportunities
  • Physical / outdoor / creative activity

Throughout the sessions, you will have the opportunity to meet and/or hear from people who have gone through a similar journey that you have and have come out on the other side.

Whether it takes six sessions or six months for you to see the benefits, at Positive Minds we will be here to provide support and encouragement throughout your time on the programme and help you take some big positive steps towards getting into employment.
